The Warren Cafe is a gem on the east side. Kev and Rachel are true mixologists and can create any cocktail your heart desires. Their cocktail menu is unique and full of delicious drinks, yes I’ve tried almost every one! They have Karaoke on Thursdays and often do special events with food pop ups so make sure you follow on instagram.

My first time at the Warren Cafe was on Valentine’s Day and it was such a vibe! I went for a nightcap after yoga class and walked in to a whole experience! It’s a small, cozy place with good energy! The hospitality from Rachel, Kevin and Rhea was top tier! Kevin made a bangin’ Blueberry Martini(s), so good! They had good music, games and they fed us too (thank you)! I think they also had speed dating! It was a diverse crowd with everyone enjoying themselves and having fun! I’m not sure if they get down like that all the time, but The Warren Cafe definitely made my Valentine’s Day way more fun than I anticipated…and for that, I’ll be back! I highly recommend this place!

If I'm not here at some point on the weekend, I must be outta town cause I LOVE WARREN CAFE. Excellent drinks, retro decor, and a beautiful long bar that goes on and on. They have tables on the side but you want that bar. Why's that? So you can chat it up with the real reason this bar is such a gem: the staff! Super nice people that keep me coming back.

Met Kevin and Rachel at the Old Miami one night and they were just a really nice couple with great energy. I had no idea they owned this soon to be Gem in the city/Detroit. Relaxed and welcoming just like they are with top notch cocktail concoctions made with consistent attention to detail. Live entertainment with a DJ and Karaoke Host who made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Then to complete their recipe for success there is a Sushi Chef preparing hot dishes, Sushi, or combinations including Tempura Shrimp. I will be back on another day or night however Thursday night has the perfect trio. Check it out for yourself and I may buy a round of drinks, Cheers

Be sure to ask for the Blaquiri! Went to get one drink to close out my boyfriend’s birthday on a Sunday night and Kevin, the co owner and bartender, made us feel at home! As well as the other people that were there having their drinks. They just opened in January. Great bar. Great talk. Get drinks. And happens to be BLACK OWNED 😍 Definitely worth a visit!!!

I recently visited this bar with my girlfriend and were both really impressed with our experience. This place was super chill and very welcoming. The drinks were expertly crafted and reasonably price. This hidden gem was such a good time. We will def be back soon!

Been looking for a bar to kinda be a regular at... This one is a good contender. Came on Saturday for trivia night. Had a nice time. Good energy and lowkey. Kevin makes a good drink and is friendly and conversational. Ill be back for sure!! Now Griffiths bbq could use some work... Not bad but not good either.

If you’re looking for a true neighborhood gem in Detroit, The Warren Cafe is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the "immaculate" 70s-inspired vibe—complete with moody lighting, vintage decor, and a gorgeous, sprawling bar—transports you to a different era. The cocktail program is where this place truly shines. They emphasize fresh, local ingredients and house-made purées that make every drink feel special. The Blaquiri: A fan-favorite twist on the classic daiquiri that perfectly showcases the bartenders' skill. Midnight Mule: A bold, refreshing choice featuring a rich black cherry purée. Cucumber Gin Gimlet: Incredibly crisp and natural-tasting. Honey Boy: A smooth, smoky, and citrusy option that’s become a recent standout. What really sets this spot apart is the atmosphere and service. Owners Rachael and Kevin make everyone feel like a regular, whether you're there for a quiet date night or a lively Sunday Spades Night. It’s a Black-owned business that has quickly become a cornerstone of the Morningside community. A few things to know before you go: Food: While they don’t have a full-time kitchen, they regularly host pop-up kitchens (like the Muchies Food Truck) and sometimes have live bands or karaoke. Hours: They are typically open Wednesday–Saturday, 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM, with select Sunday openings for events. Price: Drinks generally fall in the $10–$20 range, which is very reasonable for the quality of craft you’re getting. Pro Tip: Follow their Instagram for the latest on guest chefs and live music schedules! Boom.
